'Finding Bigfoot:' BFRO views 1962 Bigfoot video in Colorado

Bigfoot Researchers James 'Bobo' Fay, Ranae Holland, Cliff Barackman and founder and president of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Matt Moneymaker speak at the 'Finding Bigfoot' discussion panel
There was a new episode of “Finding Bigfoot” on Animal Planet Sunday night, Jan. 20, 2013. This episode was filmed in the Colorado Rockies. The reason for the choice of this location is that the BFRO wanted to view some newly released Bigfoot video footage from 1962.

This footage, although somewhat grainy, had been in this family over 50 years. The gentleman featured on the program’s late father was also his scout master. He shot the video when they were camping with the troop in the Colorado Rockies. The scoutmaster did not realize what he had shot at first, and returned to the tent. After showing it to the other leaders, the son remembers that the scouts were quite limited in their ability to move freely. He remembers a true sense of danger being communicated.

The BFRO team seemed to find the Bigfoot video footage to be believable. The man whose father shot the footage seemed quite genuine and believable, too.

Huffington Post reports what Cliff said about the Bigfoot footage:
“It seems to be hopping from rock to rock. Why would it do that? Most likely to hide its footprints,” Cliff said, adding, “Bigfoots avoid leaving their footprints in places where they could be found.”
The BFRO team on "Finding Bigfoot" kept discussing the importance of this piece of Bigfoot video in light of the dearth of video since the Patterson/Gimmler film in 1967. The Patterson/Gimmler film, sometimes called the Patterson film, has been judged to be a hoax by many. Some true believers still feel that it was a genuine and authentic film and not a man in an ape suit as many have said.

You can watch "Finding Bigfoot" on the Animal Planet on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
